A peat free compost with the finest natural ingredients for growing healthy, nutritious vegetables and salads.
This compost is made from bracken and sheep's wool sourced from the Cumbrian fells, blended to provide the ideal balance of nutrients for growing vegetables, salads and fruit.
The sheep's wool gives natural water retention and also provides a slow release of nitrogen. The high level of potash in the bracken promotes flowering and fruiting. Plus it contains natural micro-nutrients for growing healthy and delicious produce.
How to use it:
Fill raised beds and containers with Wool Compost for Vegetables and Salads, soak the compost well and then plant established plants and well grown seedlings directly into the compost.
For seedlings and plugs, dib a hole in to compost, place plug in hole, gently fill and water well.
Line potato and bean trenches with the compost before planting.
Can also be used to top dress established vegetable plots and raised beds.
