Artisans

Over the years, Yew Tree Barn has provided accommodation and studio space for a range of independent artisans. The barn is a great place in which to create and sell, and over the years we have had a variety of artists and crafts people working from here, many of whom have outgrown their space and gone on to set up their own independent outside studios, shops and galleries.

If you a creative person looking to work from a wonderful building please do ask about possible spaces available.

Chris McGrath - 1786 - Vintage Luggage

Chris has a serious interest in old leather goods, having hides from 1786 which were salvaged from a shipwreck off the South coast. It's a fascinating story! So now he collects vintage luggage of all types; handbags, travelling cases, gladstone bags, suitcases, and in addition has a wonderful display of uniforms, accessories.  Well worth a browse.

We are also lucky to have visits from well known crafts people who come for a weekend or day to give demonstrations or run courses; take a look at our online calendar for further information.
