A fantastic example of a lead water pump. Dated 1836.These lead pumps were used to draw water from wells before the more familiar cast-iron pumps were developed in the 19th Century and were usually encased in wooden boards except for the decorated front face. They can be effectively combined with an old stone trough to make a self-circulating water feature.  SOLD
